Brian Moore chose to fundraise in support of Double R Arts and he selected a great adventure to do so… The Trek to Everest! Brian recognises the value and worth of Double R Arts to young people in the South Ribble area. His own daughter, Cat, joined as a young person who benefited greatly from being part of the group and now, a married mum of 2, continues to be involved and work with Double R Arts. Brian wants to give back to Double R Arts and raise funds, what a challenging way to do it!
On the 18th April Brian flew to Kathmandu, Nepal to do a 13 day trek, attempting to reach Everest Base Camp
(EBC). He will scaled heights of 18,000ft and tackled 7 ‘airy’ suspension bridges over deep gorges. Prior to the trek, Brian said “This is definitely outside my comfort zone but I will do it if it helps raise funds for Double R Arts”.
“At 71 years old I certainly won’t be the oldest person to do this trek, and I know of younger people who have failed, but if the Gods of the Mountains are with me I will succeed. Please support me in my Trek, Double R Arts would benefit greatly from your donation”.
